Tirana, Albania/"Methodology for the Preparation of the SEPCA Threat Assessment Report"

The Albanian Presidency of the Southeast Europe Police Chiefs Association, in cooperation with and supported by the EU4FAST WB Project (EU Support to Strengthen the Fight against Migrant Smuggling and Trafficking in Human Beings in the Western Balkans), organized an event on June 12, 2025, in Tirana, Albania, focusing on the “Methodology for the Preparation of the SEPCA Threat Assessment Report”.

 

Present at the event were representatives from SEPCA member countries, specifically from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Republika Srpska of Bosnia, and Serbia, as well as representatives from the EU4FAST WB Project.

 

During the meeting, the participants had the opportunity to discuss regarding the:

  • Harmonization of analytical practices across all SEPCA countries with EUROPOL’s methodology;
  • Improvement of the quality and comparability of national contributions during the preparation of the “SEPCA Threat Assessment Report”;
  • Better integration of intelligence-led policing principles into the assessment process;
  • Exploration of tools and techniques for better identification, ranking, and forecasting of criminal threats in the region.
