Berat, Albania/First General Assembly of SEPCA 2025

On June 25, 2025, in the city of Berat, Albania, under the framework of the Albanian Presidency, the First General Assembly of the Southeast Europe Police Chiefs Association (SEPCA) for the year 2025 was held.

 

SEPCA, established in January 2002 in Pula, Croatia, aims to strengthen the regional cooperation and coordination among police institutions in the fight against cross-border crime.

 

The First General Assembly of SEPCA 2025 was attended by senior police officials from Bulgaria, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Moldova, the Republic of Srpska of Bosnia, and Serbia, along with the General Director of the Kosovo Police, Mr. Gazmend Hoxha. International organizations such as INTERPOL, EUROPOL, CEPOL, SELEC, the Austrian Criminal Intelligence Service, the EU4FAST WB Project, etc, were also represented.

 

During the General Assembly, participants had the opportunity to discuss various issues, including the challenges posed by irregular migration and human trafficking, the fight against organized crime, the strengthening of regional cooperation through joint investigation teams, the situation of cybercrime, and other relevant matters.
