Vienna, Austria/“Combating cybercrime in the SEPCA region”

Referring to the priorities proposed by the Albanian Presidency of SEPCA for 2025, the SEPCA Office, in cooperation and with the support of the Criminal Intelligence Service in Austria, held an event from 7-9 April, 2025, in Vienna, Austria, which focused on "Combating cybercrime, seizing cryptocurrencies, social media and online service providers, and malware analysis tools in the SEPCA region."

Representatives from SEPCA member countries, experts in the field of combating cybercrime, and representatives from the Cybercrime Center at the Austrian Criminal Police were present at this event.

During this event, attendees had the opportunity to learn about the current regional situation in the fight against cybercrime, the latest modus operandi of criminal groups operating in this field, exchange best practices, and expand their competencies in the investigation of cybercrime, seizure of cryptocurrencies, monitoring of social media and online service providers, as well as malware analysis tools, through strengthening international cooperation.
