Vlora, Albania/Second General Assembly of SEPCA 2025

On December 16, 2025, under the framework of the Albanian SEPCA Presidency and with support of the Criminal Intelligence Service of Austria (BK), the Second SEPCA General Assembly for the year 2025 was convened in the city of Vlora, Albania.

The event brought together the Directors General of Police from SEPCA member countries and their delegations, alongside high-level representatives from strategic partners, including the Director of SELEC, officials from Interpol, the Austrian Criminal Intelligence Service, and other international law enforcement agencies.

The event was financed by BK through the Internal Security Fund 2021-2027.

During the Assembly, participants engaged in high-level discussions regarding the strategic importance of the SEPCA region in maintaining regional stability. Key focus areas included:

-migration Management: Enhancing cooperation to prevent irregular migratory flows.

-combating Organized Crime: Coordinating efforts to dismantle criminal networks.

-narcotics Interdiction: Strengthening joint strategies to combat the trafficking of hard narcotics.

The participants emphasized that the success of these initiatives relies on the continuous strengthening of information exchange and the implementation of synchronized operational strategies across borders.

At the conclusion of the General Assembly, a formal ceremony was held for the handover of the SEPCA Presidency. The Albanian Presidency officially transferred its mandate for the year 2026 to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, marking a new chapter for regional police cooperation.
